More Than Lunch
Siriaunda School serves lunch on weekdays. St. Andrews Church has lunch every Sunday. Both the church and school, together with our learning center, organize many activities throughout the year that include delicious snacks and other foods. As we can see, lunch is more than just eating time. Lunch is an expression of community and family.
The most important event in the history of the Israelites, as well as early Christians, was the Passover meal. It was an annual celebration of God’s faithfulness and a reminder of God’s promise to His people of new life – and certainly an invitation for people to renew their faith and trust in God.
Lunch brings together people from different cultures and communities from both within and outside Thailand. But family lunches are filled with the laughter of children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly. That chaos filled with joy is real life! At St. Andrews and Siria Anda, we rejoice that Jesus’ love extends to all of us, both children and adults. We need each other as we practice patience, humility, kindness, compassion, and love together. Come taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8).
