Generosity

The most distinctive characteristic of God is generosity, which we often call grace. God gives blessings freely and joyfully. God’s generosity is key to understanding Jesus’ death on the cross. Humanity was trapped in the decay of life and death. Everyone dies, but Jesus became human to overcome death and free us from death’s curse. Why did Jesus have to suffer? Because of the profound generosity in His heart! You can read more about this in Ephesians 2:4-10.

Because God loved us first, we are free to love today (1 John 4:19). At St. Andrews Church, as followers of Jesus, we give generously. Giving is not a requirement but a response to God’s generosity toward us – with a joyful heart (2 Corinthians 9:7). Our offerings help support St. Andrews Church, expanding our work and community.

We give offerings to ministry work as an expression of generosity. Our generosity motivates us to show kindness and respect for one another. This is key for the St. Andrews community.
